May 4 @ 12:30 pm

Bill Murphy from the Center for UFOs will join us via Zoom to talk about UFOS and the U.S. In late 2017 the country was rocked by articles in The New York Times and other major news outlets that the U.S. government had conducted covert studies of Unidentified Flying Objects since 2008, directly contradicting what it had been telling the public for decades. On June 25, 2021 the Office of the Director of National Intelligence published a “Preliminary Assessment,” reversing the official governmental stance since 1969 that UFOs lacked importance. So where are we after 77 years of UFO history? Where are we going? Will we have a repeat of the Government stance after 1969 that UFOs are frivolous? Will NASA’s recent entry into the UFOs-as-Science realm complement the military-intelligence communities’ efforts to protect our nation? Will the proliferation of new private efforts and the strengthening of long-existing organizations bear any fruit? What about other countries’ UFO interests? How can we all help the process? We’ll try to understand the problems and assess the prospects for unravelling what’s been called “the mystery of the ages!”  Join us in the auditorium or via Zoom.
