Ancestry is a database of genealogy and family history records that can help you explore your heritage. You can access Ancestry Library Edition while visiting SWCPL.

Bring reading to life. Book Connections strives to joyfully enrich everyone’s experience of reading children’s and young adult books.

Fold3 is a database of records including photographs, narratives and documents belonging to those men and women who served in the United States military. You can access Fold3 at any time while visiting the library.

Hoopla is available for patrons to check out e-books, audiobooks, comics, music, movies and TV programs from a growing collection of over 600,000 titles. Patrons with an SWCPL card can check out five items per month from hoopla.

​INSPIRE is Indiana’s Virtual Online Library. It is a collection of online academic databases and other information resources that can be accessed by all ​Indiana residents.

Kanopy is an on-demand streaming service for our patrons to check out videos from a collection of over 30,000 films – including documentaries, classic movies, and educational cinema. Patrons with an SWCPL card get 15 tickets per month from this service. Note: Kanopy Kids doesn’t use tickets, you can access an unlimited number of Kanopy Kids titles each month. 

Libby is an app provided by Overdrive so that library patrons can access ebooks, audiobooks, and magazines from their mobile devices with ease.

The NoveList Plus database connects readers to their next great book by making recommendations based on their personal preferences of genre, theme, characterization, series, and more.  To access this resource, you will need your library card number.

NoveList K-8 Plus can help younger patrons find new reading material by allowing them to search by story element, theme, series, reading level, and more.   To access this resource, you will need your library card number.

These databases contain scanned newspaper obituaries, scanned memorial cards from area funeral homes and scanned burial cards containing graveyard and burial plot information.
